I would cast Jennifer Aniston as Silda and Matt Damon as Eliot Spitzer.
I don't know yet who would play Kristen because we haven't seen her yet.
I would direct this as a drama, a Shakespearian tragedy of the downfall of a man who had it all and threw it away, hurting himself and his family.

It was only briefly on the news here, so I'm not too familiar with him, but I think I would cast Ed Harrison and if she was older, I would cast Kirsten Dunst as Silda (guess she's too young though)
